Galleria W. Apolloni

Via Margutta

W.Apolloni Gallery has been in business for three generations and is one of the oldest and most distinguished antique stores in Rome. Opened by Wladimiro in 1926 on Via Frattina, his son Fabrizio moved its headquarters to Via del Babuino, on the corner with Via Vittoria, in 1970, occupying three floors with four street-facing shop windows, which have constituted for years, thanks to the splendor of the layout, the constant attraction of passers-by. After nearly half a century, the gallery moved to nearby Via Margutta 53b, in the heart of Rome's artists' street, to the main rooms of Palazzo Patrizi, built specifically, in the mid-19th century, to house studios for artists and where Picasso worked when he was in Rome in 1917.
